Eco-friendly fashion by Marina Rimer

On November 28, the Krysha Mira club hosted a show of Marina Rimer's new collection "spring-summer 2008". The name "Anti "anti smoking"" was not chosen by chance, since the leitmotif of the new season for the designer was the theme of ecology and the environment. A photo exhibition of wildlife was organized especially for the guests of the event with the support of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

The podium itself was located on the roof of the club under the dome of a huge tent, where the guests of the show gathered. The beginning of the show was very impressive and unusual: clouds of thick smoke and thousands of graphic doves flying up to the dome set the right mood.

All models of this casual collection, made of environmentally friendly fabrics, look quite minimalistic and at the same time very stylish. Jeans made of linen and hemp with an "oiled" coating, trousers that emphasize the silhouette and various knitwear clearly reflect the ecological concept of the collection. Cotton T-shirts and tops with prints from Russian designer Konstantin Gaidai deserve special attention.

All clothing is made from environmentally friendly fabrics with special impregnations from natural components: vitamin E, jojoba oil and aloe vera.

As FashionTime has learned, knitted models of the collection with prints from Gaidai will go on sale at the beginning of next year. All proceeds from their sale will be transferred to the World Wildlife Fund.

Among the guests of the show were famous designers and representatives of the Russian fashion industry: Dmitry Loginov, Konstantin Gaidai, Anna Chistova and Marina Endourova, Danila Polyakov and photographer Vladimir Shirokov.
