In Zaporozhye, police officers mowed down a ton of hemp

In the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine, police officers collected more than 900 kilograms from a local resident’s drug plantation. ProUA was informed about this by the Public Relations Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.

The hemp was grown on a plot of land in the village of Prishib by a 42-year-old resident of the Mikhailovsky district. In order to remove all the hemp he had grown, the police had to use a truck. "In total, 912 kilograms of "fresh" hemp and another 2 kilograms of hemp in the drying stage were found and confiscated on the territory belonging to the offender," the law enforcement officers reported.

The actions of the drug plantation owner are classified as a crime under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sowing or growing sleeping poppy or hemp). This article provides for a maximum prison term of up to 7 years.
