Kyrgyzstan Seizes More Marijuana, Hashish, and Indian Hemp Bushes

On July 30, at the bus station in the village of Uchterek, Jalal-Abad region, law enforcement officers of Kyrgyzstan detained a resident of the city of Bishkek, born in 1968, on suspicion of drug possession. As a REGNUM correspondent was told by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, 3 kg 600 g of marijuana and 100 g of hashish were confiscated from the detainee.

Also on July 30, during the “Illegal” raid, law enforcement officers of Kyrgyzstan seized 4,392 bushes of Indian hemp weighing approximately 125.5 kg. A resident of the village of Suluumaimak, born in 1953, was detained on suspicion of growing and storing drugs. The detainee grew the drug in a field among corn.

Based on these facts, criminal cases have been initiated.
