Hemp was thrown under a tank

In the Amur Region, army units have been deployed to combat hemp crops. The plants are being destroyed by tanks. First, the hemp is crushed by caterpillars, plowing up entire fields, then set on fire.

According to NTV, the region is one of the top three leaders in the number of crimes in the sphere of illegal drug trafficking. This year, local authorities were supposed to allocate 4 million rubles to destroy hemp fields. So far, not a penny has been received for these purposes; the army is dealing with this issue.

Evgeny Blokhin, head of the UFSSN department for the Amur Region: "Military units, naturally, do not have tractors with plows, they have other tracked equipment. There is a mechanical method for destroying wild hemp. The task is to destroy the green mass by any available means. The green mass under the tracks is destroyed very effectively."

The scope of work is impressive - up to five thousand hectares have been sown with hemp in the Amur Region.
