Marijuana can be purchased at the FSB

Two servicemen of the Russian FSB border troops were convicted for drug distribution in one of the military units of the Sochi garrison. The investigators of the Sochi military prosecutor's office learned that marijuana was being smoked in the military unit after a soldier hanged himself in December last year on the territory of one of the military units of the Russian FSB border troops in the village of Loo near Sochi.

A package of marijuana was found in his pocket, and an examination showed that he was in a state of drug intoxication, - the military prosecutor's office of the North Caucasus District reported. - Initially, a criminal case was opened under the article "Incitement to suicide." As part of the investigation of this case, two conscripts were detained who distributed marijuana on the territory of the unit.

It turned out that one of the detainees bought several matchboxes with marijuana from a local resident, the second, in turn, bought marijuana from him. The dealer gave the drug to the soldier, who subsequently hanged himself. According to investigators, the soldier's suicide was driven by difficult personal experiences under the influence of the drug.

The case of driving a soldier to suicide was closed, and for distributing marijuana one of the soldiers was sentenced to three years of imprisonment, the second to two.
