Victims of police brutality are released

On Tuesday, May 15, six activists of various public movements who were detained and beaten in Moscow on May 5 and then illegally sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest are released from a special detention center in Moscow. Some activists received a day for participating in the Hemp March, which was objectionable to the authorities. Others simply came to support their comrades at the Arbat police station, where the detainees were taken.

Friends, relatives of activists and simply sympathetic citizens will arrange a ceremonial meeting for the innocently convicted at the special detention center. In this way, they will express their support for the prisoners of conscience and protest against the unjust trials and criminal violence of police officers against their own citizens.

Participants of the action will gather at 12:30 at the address: ul. Gilyarovskogo, 65 (metro station Rizhskaya)

Another arrested person, Sergei Konstantinov, remains in the special detention center until May 20; he received the longest term of arrest - 15 days. From the first day of arrest, Sergei declared a hunger strike, which continues to this day.
