Student Detained in Vologda for Selling Marijuana

Drug enforcement officers confiscated more than 20 kg of marijuana from a first-year student in Vologda. As the correspondent of "IA SeverInform" was told in the Drug Enforcement Administration for the Vologda Region, the 17-year-old Vologda resident, a student at one of the Vologda universities, was detained by drug enforcement officers late in the evening on the street the other day after he sold a package with a dose of marijuana. The young drug dealer arranged to meet the buyer near the house where he lived. As a result of the search, drug enforcement officers found another 14 newspaper packages with the drug, prepared for sale, weighing more than 20 kg. As noted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the parents of the detainee did not even suspect what their son was doing. A criminal case has been opened on this fact. The sanction of the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in such cases provides for punishment of up to 8 years of imprisonment. Currently, measures are being taken to identify the persons from whom the detainee purchased the drug.
