Woman Mails 78 Pounds of Marijuana

Tiffany Joy Kelly, 28, of Amarillo, Texas, was sentenced Monday to 2 1/2 years in prison for using the mail to her advantage by mailing herself 78 pounds of marijuana.

The drugs were placed in several packages. They were to be delivered to a Texas motel. The postal worker found the packages suspicious. He reported them to the police. The law enforcement officers were given permission to open them. The employee's suspicions were fully confirmed. The police saw scattered marijuana. All that was left was to find the recipient. So, the packages were sent to the addressee. Upon receiving the mail, Kelly was arrested and confessed that she was the sender of the packages.
