College student arrested for marijuana distribution in Krasnodar

In Krasnodar, drug police detained a marijuana dealer; a 19-year-old student of a trade college tried to sell about 6 grams of the drug. As reported to the correspondent of IA REGNUM by the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for Krasnodar Krai, this was far from the young man's first deal.

"The young man has already managed to make a profit from selling at least four bags of marijuana," the press service representative noted. "The guy bought the drug at wholesale prices, then sold it at double the markup. This time, the student set the price at 400 rubles per package."

According to a representative of the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service, the guy denies his guilt. The Krasnodar resident is currently in a pretrial detention center. A criminal case has been opened under Article 228.1. He could spend five years behind bars for his actions.

Over the past 10 months alone, in the Krasnodar Territory, drug police have registered more than 1 thousand cases of seizure of marijuana, thanks to which the criminal business lost about 538 kilograms of drugs. In Krasnodar, to date, law enforcement officers have eliminated about 14 kilograms of marijuana from illicit trafficking.
