Nizhny Novgorod students were accepted with marijuana

Three students from Nizhny Novgorod universities have been detained on suspicion of distributing narcotics. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Volga Federal District.

All of the detainees are 20-21 years old. Recently, investigators from the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod Region brought charges against three defendants under Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. All of the defendants have been arrested. They pleaded guilty.

Before the arrest, the operatives conducted a test purchase of drugs from the students. In one case, the sellers demanded 1,000 rubles for four bags of marijuana. In addition to marijuana, they also sold amphetamine.

Investigators believe that the criminals operated for a year and sold the goods mainly within their own circle.
