Nauman Karim caught using marijuana

Asia's best boxer Nauman Karim will miss the Athens Olympics after being suspended for one year. Pakistan's best hope for a gold medal was caught using marijuana, Pakistan Boxing Federation President Anwar Choudhury said. "He was our best hope in Athens," Choudhury said. "I am deeply shocked."

The doping sample was taken from the athlete after the Asian Games in Islamabad in April this year. In addition to disqualification, Karim was stripped of all medals from the competition in Islamabad, ITAR-TASS reports.
