The owners of the kindergarten grew marijuana in the yard

Police have arrested a married couple living in a farming community in Sharon on suspicion of drug trafficking. Investigators suspect that the couple were growing marijuana in their home, which also houses a kindergarten.

The arrest came after police detained a 17-year-old teenager on suspicion of drug use. He said during interrogation that he smokes marijuana, which he “takes from seedlings at home without the knowledge of his parents.”

After a search, 10 kg of marijuana and smoking materials, which are prohibited from being stored in a home, were found in the detainee’s home.

The teenager's father, who came to the station with his son to sign a bail document and waited in the hallway, admitted that he was growing marijuana and even showed the police where he had planted the plants. There was one bush there that he had not managed to remove.

The teenager's parents claim the marijuana was for their personal use. They say they smoke the drug every day, sometimes in front of their children.
