Kinder Surprise for Foreign Drug Addicts

The Berdsk court sentenced a German citizen to imprisonment in a general regime colony for 1 year and 2 months for sending a parcel of drugs to Russia. The German, going on vacation to Russia, sent a large batch of drugs by mail.

The parcel contains Kinder Surprise chocolates filled with marijuana, hashish and amphetamine. According to the press service of the Siberian customs, in June the German citizen was caught red-handed by the employees of the Siberian Operational Customs Department as a result of the successful international operation "Controlled Delivery".

According to the press service, this is not the first time that mail containing drugs has arrived in Siberia. Last year, employees of the Siberian Operational Customs detained a citizen of the same Germany, who came to visit her grandfather and had previously sent a parcel with marijuana to a relative’s address. True, the criminal hid it not in chocolates, but in a can of Nescafe coffee.

Another channel for the international supply of narcotic drugs was recorded from Holland, when a shipment of the dangerous synthetic drug “White Chinese” was sent. As a result of special events, OBKN employees established that the drug was sent to Russia by a Greek citizen following an Internet order from one of our compatriots. The latter was detained, and information about the foreign drug dealer was transferred to Interpol.

In just 8 months of this year, Siberian customs officers have carried out more than 1,500 events to combat drug smuggling. More than 29 tons 846 kg of drugs, potent drugs, psychotropic and toxic substances have been seized from circulation. Most of them (29 tons 600 kg) are toxic substances seized in September - toluene and acetone. In addition, Siberian customs officers have seized more than 174 kg of heroin, 21.7 kg of opium, 28.7 kg of hashish and hashish oil, 16.7 kg of marijuana.
