Shepherd dog helps find marijuana stash (Penza region)18.10.2006
No tricks helped a 32-year-old resident of the Zemetchinsky District of the Penza Region to hide a large batch of plant-based drugs from the Federal Drug Control Service. As reported to a REGNUM correspondent by the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service for the Penza Region, the unlucky drug dealer was hiding almost 18 kg of dried
marijuana
in bags, buried in the garden, with carrot roots planted on top. A bag of hemp grains was hidden in a garbage pit and covered with potato tops.
The drug police were able to find the cache with the help of a Belgian shepherd named Hamlet. In addition, during the search, another 9 kg of marijuana was found, hidden in one of the utility rooms of the residential building. A dryer for hemp and a mini-workshop for preparing marijuana were also set up there. Now the owner of the drug cache faces 8 to 12 years in prison. A criminal case has already been opened, an investigation is underway.
