Primorye drug police seized more than 30 kg marijuana and destroyed about 375 kg hemp As reported on October 18 by the Prima Media news agency, citing the information and public relations group of the Federal Drug Control Service for Primorsky Krai, the drug was discovered during a raid in the Khankaisky District.

Near the village of Komisarovo, in a forest area, operatives and special forces of the drug police discovered so-called "drug drying racks": in two clearings, located at a distance of only a few hundred meters from each other, sheaves of mown hemp were laid out to dry.

According to drug enforcement officers, drug dealers had plots of land in the forest near the drying site where they harvested hemp. In total, police officers confiscated about 5,000 hemp bushes. This is one of the largest batches of drug-containing plants confiscated during Operation Poppy in Primorsky Krai. Even dried, the hemp weighed almost 375 kilograms. In addition to hemp, a particularly large batch of marijuana (more than 30 kg) was also found during the raid.

A criminal case has been opened on the facts of illegal storage of narcotics in especially large quantities. The confiscated marijuana will be stored until the end of the investigation, and the hemp bushes from which the drug dealers did not manage to make the drug were destroyed with the participation of witnesses and journalists.
