Drug for the colony

In September of this year, operative officers of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan detained a resident of Makhachkala, E. Babakhanov.

As reported to the correspondent of the Republican Information Agency "Dagestan", the reason for the arrest was information previously received by operatives about the planned sale of a large batch of marijuana by transferring the drug to the territory of correctional colony No. 4, located in Makhachkala.

After receiving the information, the drug control officers began developing an operation to detain the drug dealer, and covert surveillance was underway. In the evening, at about 6 p.m., E. Babakhanov appeared on Akhmedkhan-Sultan Street in Makhachkala, near the aforementioned colony, carrying a black plastic bag in his hands. The size of the bag indicated that it contained something large. The suspect himself was swaying and behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Due to the sudden possibility of the operation being disrupted, it was not possible to bring it to its logical conclusion - the drug dealer had to be detained without waiting for the moment when the drugs were transferred over the prison fence.

During a personal inspection of Babakhanov, the above-mentioned package was confiscated from him, in which the operatives found more than three kilograms of marijuana. The drug dealer himself, despite his young age - 27 years old, already previously convicted, was in a state of severe drug intoxication and barely controlled his actions.
