Amur drug police seized 150 kilograms of marijuana

Amur drug police conducted a special operation, during which more than 150 kg of marijuana were seized in the village of Kreshchenovka in Ivanovo District. This is the third such large seizure in Amur Region since the beginning of this year.

According to the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Amur Region, during operational search activities information was received that one of the village residents was storing a large batch of marijuana. Drug control officers arrived at the scene and during a survey of the area, a cache was buried in a hole 1.5 meters deep. The drug police recovered 15 bags of marijuana from the ground, which were neatly laid in two rows on a tarpaulin cover. The total weight of the items seized was 150 kilograms. According to experts, in order to prepare such a quantity of the drug, it is necessary to collect and then dry about 1 ton of hemp tops.

The owner of the yard, a previously convicted person and a native of Azerbaijan living without the appropriate registration, denies involvement in drugs. At the moment, drug police are conducting pre-investigation activities, collecting evidence on the involvement of this person in this case.
