More than 10 kilograms of marijuana seized in Vladimir region

During a search of a house in the Petushinsky District of the Vladimir Region, State Drug Control Service officers found more than 10 kilograms of marijuana. This is, even by the standards of the State Drug Control Service, a very large consignment. This is the second time in three years that Vladimir drug police have seized such a quantity of plant-based drugs.

As reported by the correspondent of the IA REGNUM with reference to the television company "TV-6 Vladimir", marijuana was brought to the Petushinsky district from the near abroad, it was intended for sale in the Vladimir region. The price of the batch on the black market is several hundred thousand rubles. The sellers of marijuana were detained red-handed, during the search it was discovered that they kept the drugs in tea cans.

As explained by the Deputy Head of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Vladimir Region, Aleksandr Katkov, "among their (the sellers') circle of family ties there are people from fairly respectable commercial organizations and, unfortunately, from government structures."

Now experts from the Federal Drug Control Service are checking the packages for fingerprints. Perhaps the database will help find the manufacturers. All three young people who sold marijuana have been detained and are in custody. The maximum penalty for illegal sale of drugs is up to 12 years in prison.
