Customs officers clear marijuana from trains

Ural customs officers prevent marijuana deliveries to Russia. Thus, the investigation department of the Chelyabinsk customs office opened 2 criminal cases on the fact of drug smuggling in the last two weeks of August. The drugs were seized from passengers of the international train "Astana-Saint Petersburg".

As reported by the press service of the Ural Customs Administration, in the first case, a package of marijuana weighing about 50 grams was discovered by employees of the Troitsk customs post together with representatives of the border service in the toilet room of the train car.

A few days later, during customs control of a passenger train traveling along the same route, another package containing 36 grams of marijuana was found.
