With the onset of autumn in Russia, the situation with the distribution of large batches of marijuana, which finally ripens in August-September, depending on the climatic conditions of the regions, is aggravating. Large batches of marijuana, which drug dealers are preparing and trying to distribute, have already left criminal circulation, becoming material evidence in drug cases opened by the Russian drug police.
Two pseudo-peasants were detained recently by officers of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region. During operational and investigative activities, drug police officers discovered a hemp field in the Bolotninsky District of the region, which was tended by two young men, born in 1982 and 1986. The guys were harvesting marijuana, and then using the dried grass to produce hashish.
According to the GIOS Directorate, during the arrest, the operatives caught the drug dealers at work and seized 13 bags of marijuana, weighing more than 46 kilograms in total, as well as a large piece of hashish. The young people claim that they were making the drugs for their own use, although in this case they face a sentence of 3 to 10 years in prison.
Last week, officers of the Drug Control Department of the Penza Region detained a resident of one of the villages of the Mokshansky District during Operation Poppy, who decided to earn a living by producing and selling drugs. The 40-year-old previously convicted native of the Penza Region, the head of a large family, independently organized a drug plantation, equipping it in his own garden. The man sowed hemp and poppy in old tractor tires filled with soil. The dealer dried the plants in outbuildings and hid the finished drugs. However, he did not manage to sell all the goods: drug police officers knocked on the door and confiscated more than 12 kilograms of narcotics, the press service of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia reports.
in the Penza region.
In the Moscow region, during the second stage of the "Poppy-2006" operation, officers of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Moscow region blocked several channels of marijuana entry into the region. According to the press service of the department, a 33-year-old Ukrainian citizen was detained in the Podolsk region for marijuana trafficking. During a search of the garage he rented, drug police officers found 10 packages containing more than 2 kg of marijuana in a hiding place. In the Lukhovitsky region, a 20-year-old contract soldier was detained at the Oka River crossing; marijuana weighing more than 1.8 kg was found in his bag.
According to the Department, two young people were detained in the Yegoryevsky district within one day. Not far from the village of Dmitrovka, a 23-year-old local resident was detained, and during a personal search, about 4 kg of marijuana was confiscated. During further investigative actions, a 29-year-old man, a twice-convicted resident of the Moscow region, was detained, from whom more than 2.7 kg of marijuana was discovered and seized. Now criminal cases have been initiated based on these facts, and investigative authorities are investigating the origin of these drugs.
Law enforcement agencies of Russia continue operational and investigative measures to suppress drug trafficking of plant drugs. In the second stage of the interdepartmental operation "Poppy", security forces will pay special attention to blocking the channels of transportation of the new harvest of hemp and poppy.
