A “supervisor” and a smuggler from Poland were detained for selling marijuana in Kaliningrad

Operatives of the Federal Drug Control Service Directorate for the Kaliningrad Region, together with customs officers, conducted a large-scale special operation, detaining members of an organized criminal group smuggling drugs across the border at the Russian-Polish border and in Kaliningrad. As reported today, September 7, to a REGNUM correspondent by the press service of the regional Federal Drug Control Service Directorate, a 36-year-old Polish citizen, Grzegorz M., was detained at the border. According to the operatives, he organized a large channel for the supply of drugs to the Kaliningrad Region.

According to operational information received, it became known that in the coming days Grzegorz plans to hand over another product to his clients, - the representative of the Federal Drug Control Service continued. "Having successfully passed border control, the guest from Poland, apparently, thought that nothing threatened him anymore and with a calm soul headed to the meeting place with his accomplices, the man hardly guessed that he was being watched from the very beginning," the representative of the Federal Drug Control Service noted.

After handing over the goods to the customers, Grzegorz returned to the border, where the operatives were already waiting for him. At the same time, the other participants in the deal were also detained in Kaliningrad. They turned out to be well-known in the criminal environment representatives of the criminal group - the "overseer" of the city of Svetly in the Kaliningrad region and his assistant.

During a search of the detainees' car, operatives found 500 grams of high-quality Dutch marijuana under the driver's seat, and in the Pole's motorcycle, money received from selling drugs - about 3.5 thousand dollars.

All those detained have been arrested and are in pre-trial detention, concluded the representative of the State Drug Control Service.
