Zhytomyr customs officers found 1 kg of dope in the socks of a train passenger

The movement of a narcotic substance across the customs border of Ukraine was stopped by employees of the Zhitomir customs office and border guards. As reported by the press service of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the narcotic substance was found at the Ovruch customs post of the Zhitomir customs office during the inspection of a train traveling from Chisinau to St. Petersburg. In one of the cars, above the place where the citizen of Moldova was traveling, on a coat hook, under the trousers that were hanging on him, and in the pocket of these trousers, stashes of crushed plants that have already been recognized as marijuana were found. Another stash of narcotic substance was found in a sock that was in a travel suitcase in a spare pair of shoes. The total weight of the discovered substance is about 1 kilogram. The narcotic substance was confiscated and sent for final examination. A protocol on violation of customs regulations was drawn up.
