Rains prevent drug police from destroying cannabis (Jewish Autonomous Region)

As Sergei Mordvinov, senior investigator of the regional drug control service, told a REGNUM correspondent on June 21, today about 75 hectares of wild hemp. Taking advantage of the "windows" in rainy days, drug police officers were still able to destroy 4.5 hectares of plant dope.

Mordvinov explained that, according to the approved plan, operational headquarters have been created in all districts of the region to conduct Operation Hemp. 300 thousand rubles previously planned in the regional budget - funds for fuel, wages for workers, etc. during the operation are already transferred to the recipients. Also this year, wild hemp will continue to be poisoned with Tornado herbicides.

When asked by a REGNUM correspondent what else besides the weather could interfere with the anti-drug operation, Mordvinov replied that there are always problems in this matter, but drug police officers will solve them in a working manner
