Priest turns church into hemp plantation

A Catholic priest has been arrested in Ohio for growing marijuana in living quarters inside his church.

According to police representatives, a total of 35 hemp bushes, fluorescent lamps, devices for regulating air humidity, electrical transformers, as well as manuals for growing hemp were confiscated from the priest.

Police also arrested the priest's friend, but both are currently out on bail.

If the court finds them guilty, they face up to six months in prison and a fine of 2.5 thousand dollars, Gazeta.Ru reports with reference to the Associated Press.
