An employee of the Federal Drug Control Service was arrested for drug possession17.05.2006
Employees of the capital's security services carried out an unusual operation, during which an employee of the Russian Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) was arrested for drug possession. As a source in the capital's law enforcement agencies told RBK, the 30-year-old senior police lieutenant was detained on the evening of May 15 near house No. 13/1 on Rossoshanskaya Street, where he lives. After conducting a personal search of the officer, the operatives found about 3 grams of heroin on him. A criminal case was opened against the detainee under Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and storage of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances). It should be noted that this is far from the first case of detention of suspects in illegal drug trafficking in recent days. Thus, the day before, a cadet of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense (VUMO) was detained in the center of Moscow for cocaine trafficking. As reported to RBC by the capital's Main Directorate of Internal Affairs, the 22-year-old cadet, a resident of the capital, was detained by operatives at 23:00 Moscow time on May 16 near house No. 1 on Ostozhenka Street. At the time of the detention, the young man was trying to sell 0.5 g of cocaine. A criminal case has been opened on this fact, the materials on it have been transferred to the Moscow District Military Prosecutor's Office. In addition, a few days ago, Mamuka Chkadua, known in criminal circles as a “thief in law” nicknamed Mamuka Galsky, was detained for drug possession in Moscow. During the inspection, the police found almost 10 g of heroin on the detainee. According to the information available to the operatives, M. Chkadua controlled one of the ethnic organized crime groups in the north of the capital, consisting of his fellow countrymen (he himself is from Abkhazia). This group was involved in drug trafficking and apartment burglaries. A fingerprint examination of M. Chkadua's fingerprints showed that they matched the fingerprints in the police database for several apartment burglaries committed in Moscow beginning in 1999. A criminal case has been opened against M. Chkadua under Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage and sale of narcotic substances). The investigation is currently identifying other episodes of criminal activity by the arrested "thief in law". rbc.ru
