The sender of a waffle cake with marijuana to a Pskov colony will be imprisoned for 3 years

On Tuesday, June 14, a hearing of the Pskov District Court was held on the fact of sending a wafer cake with drugs to one of the Pskov colonies. As the chief specialist of the information and public relations group of the Federal Drug Control Service of Russia for the Pskov Region Nadezhda Kireeva told a Pskov News Agency correspondent, "the greetings from the outside were prepared in the city on the Neva." In conditions of complete secrecy, they bought a wafer cake, soaked the filling with drugs, packed it in a "Chocolate Prince" box, wrote the address of one of the Pskov colonies and sent the sweets to a fictitious name. An ordinary message from St. Petersburg was met with the usual suspicion in the zone - the cake turned out to be soaked in marijuana.

Operational officers from the colony and the Pskov Department for Drug Control of Russia in the Pskov Region were involved in the work to solve the crime. During operational activities, specialists identified the person who was the real recipient of the parcel. The sender also turned out to have a fictitious name; there was no such citizen in the database of residents of St. Petersburg.

At this stage, the Pskov operatives were assisted by their colleagues from St. Petersburg. They identified a circle of suspects and checked them for involvement in the crime. With the help of experts, they established the identity of the conspirator.

An investigative task force from Pskov went to St. Petersburg to conduct a search. More than five hundred grams of drugs were found in the suspect's apartment. Convicted Bylba confessed to the crime, repented, and gave a confession. The punishment was 3 years and 3 months in a general regime penal colony.
