Anti-drug censorship introduced in Khabarovsk

Employees of the Federal Service for Combating Illegal Trafficking of Psychotropic Substances are issuing orders to CD and cassette sellers to remove recordings by the youth group "Sektor Gaza" from sale. Collections that include "Anasha", "Plan", "Sel'skiy Kaif" or "March of Narcotics" are to be removed from sale.

Alexey Kuvaldin, head of the regional department of the Federal Drug Control Service: “These songs, according to experts, contained propaganda for narcotics, called on young people to use drugs and are, in fact, illegal advertising or propaganda for narcotics.”

The best specialists of the city were looking for the narcotic dope on the soundtracks, by order of the security forces. The law enforcement officers ordered people in white coats to listen to youth rock. Narcologists admitted: the repertoire is really harmful for the younger generation, but censorship is not a means of fighting evil.

Vadim Chernykh, expert narcologist: "In this case, in my opinion, interest in this direction will only increase and lead to a backlash. That is, prohibitions have not yet been able to achieve any stable results."

Having completed the audit of music stores, Khabarovsk drug police officers continued their consumer harvest. In the warehouse of material evidence are dozens of T-shirts with images of marijuana leaves, cell phone cases and other goods with calls to "mow and hammer". Now the owners of the stores where all this stuff was confiscated are facing serious fines - up to 50 thousand rubles.

Khabarovsk drug police intend to act on the principle of "fight fire with fire". This year, about one million rubles have been allocated for anti-drug propaganda, so in the very near future, such simple advertising boards should appear in all the residential areas of the regional center.
