Drugs and alcohol drove monkeys crazy

The other day, the residents of the small Indian town of Baralapokhari, all of their honest people, tried to calm down some raging monkeys. The animals, who had smoked weed and taken a fair dose of alcoholic drink, decided to have some fun and went to smash a nearby settlement.

Bad habits are indeed very contagious. This phrase has been confirmed in practice once again. Monkeys from India, for example, are big fans of rolling a joint with marijuana and having a glass or two of the fiery drink. What is also terrible is that animals are capable of doing God knows what in such a state.

Residents of Baralapokhari were recently “lucky” enough to see this for themselves when, for several hours, they used whatever they could find, including ski poles and brooms, to drive out the raging drunken monkeys from the city.

The nosy animals discovered that local residents had recently prepared a special liquor infused with marijuana leaves for a special religious festival. This drink is used by Oriya speaking people as an offering to Hindu gods on New Year's Eve. It is usually stored in special containers near the house. The vessels, easily accessible to everyone, attracted the monkeys with their specific smell, and the animals decided to take advantage of the opportunity and have a feast.

In the end, the monkey party turned into a real nightmare for the residents of Baralapokhari. Many of them were injured and sought medical help as a result of the fight with the crazy primates, and some Indians will now have to almost rebuild their houses from scratch. The monkeys got off pretty easy. They simply went to sleep in the forest.
