Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation will tighten rules for nightclub security guards

The Russian Federal Service for Drug Control (FSKN) proposes to revoke the licenses of security companies that, while ensuring security in nightclubs, allow the distribution of drugs.

This proposal was voiced on the radio station "Echo of Moscow" by Deputy Director of the Federal Drug Control Service Alexander Mikhailov. He added that there is a decree of the Moscow government that provides for various sanctions for nightclubs where drugs are distributed, including the closure of nightclubs.

According to A. Mikhailov, this practice exists only in Moscow, but other regions are already considering this problem. According to various estimates, up to 70 thousand people die annually from drug overdose in Russia. “Some say that more people die on the roads, but it doesn’t matter what a person dies from, the main thing is that it is necessary to save him,” said A. Mikhailov.

Meanwhile, last week in Moscow, the activities of an Azerbaijani ethnic criminal group involved in the delivery and sale of large quantities of marijuana in the capital were suppressed. As the press service of the Federal Service for Drug Control in Moscow told RBC, the drugs were delivered to the capital by road.

The storage of imported drugs was carried out in specially equipped hiding places in safe houses and in garages rented for this purpose. Several such garages were discovered in the south of the capital, from which a total of 48 kg of marijuana was seized.

In addition, the Presnensky District Court of Moscow sentenced two citizens of Colombia and two Russians who trafficked in drug supplies from Latin American countries to various terms of imprisonment. As the press service of the Investigative Committee under the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported, the criminals smuggled 8.5 kg of cocaine worth more than $1 million from abroad.

According to the press service, the drug was brought to Moscow dissolved in menthol oil, which was hidden in legal cargo - barrels of glue. After delivering the goods to the capital, a chemical specialist extracted cocaine from the solution by distilling it.
