Drugs are freely sold in Murmansk schools

Illegal drug trafficking remains a serious problem for the Murmansk region. On February 24, the leadership of the department for the suppression of illegal drug trafficking held a press conference for journalists on this topic.

The operatives did not hide the obvious facts. The situation with drug distribution in the Murmansk region is really complicated. Murmansk, Apatity, Monchegorsk and Kanadalaksha are still on the list of those most affected by this disaster. In addition to the so-called "traditional" drugs, such as marijuana, synthetic drugs are increasingly being imported into the region. Such as heroin and trimethylfentanyl. What particularly worries the police is the rejuvenation of drug addiction. The dangerous potion can now be freely purchased in schools. But here's the paradox - often the management of educational institutions themselves are not interested in the fight against drugs.

In the past year alone, Murmansk drug enforcement officers have identified and stopped the activities of five underground drug laboratories. They have detained and brought to criminal responsibility 157 people. Almost 25 kilograms of narcotic substances have been seized from illegal circulation. However, despite all the efforts of the police, the distribution of drugs in the region continues, reports GTRK "Murman".
