Drugs ruined the Stereophonics album02/01/2005
Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones blames marijuana for the failure of the band's latest album and promises that the musicians will no longer dabble in even soft drugs while working in the studio. The singer said that the 2003 album "You Gotta Go There To Come Back" was far from perfect, as the musicians smoked non-stop during the recording. "When we made that album, we were literally stoned," the singer added. "The album sounded so ridiculous." The band promised fans that their new album, Language. Sex. Violence. Other?, would be a much better album because it had been stripped down to its bare bones. "We put a lot more energy into this one," Kelly says. The fifth studio album "Stereophonics" will be released in March, and on February 28 the single "Dakota" will be released. growhome.org
