THC attaches to specific receptors in the brain
THC is found by brain cells, or neurons, with specific receptors called cannabinoid receptors. THC molecules then bind to these receptors.
Once attached to a neuron, THC interferes with normal communication with other neurons. It's like a telephone service going out of service because there are too many people on the line at the same time. Let's say Neuron #1 needs to tell Neuron #2 to create a new memory. If

Disruption of the normal functioning of the hippocamus can cause difficulty learning new material and problems remembering recent events. And much more serious events can be forgotten than “Did I take out the trash this morning?”
Interference with the hippocamus may also lead to loss of long-term memory. Experiments on rats show that taking THC in large quantities over a long period of time can damage neurons in the hippocamus. Chances are, if it happens to rats, it also happens to people who smoke weed.

I smoked ganja for quite a long time. Then I began to notice that I was getting worse and worse, to the point that I began to lose consciousness! After such symptoms, I went to the doctor, and the doctor said that smoking ganja had seriously damaged my nervous system and if I continued, it could turn fatal. After that, I decided to quit, but it took a lot of effort, I was tormented by wild pain and a terrible state of depression for 6 months. Now I don’t smoke and I seem to feel better.
